Hey! I’m Patrick Kos, designer of logos, brands & typography. Creating distinctive brand identities and custom typography, blending modernist design with authenticity and personality from my studio in Rotterdam.
For me, good design needs to be both conceptually strong and imaginative. Each project is a creative experiment in trying to find the right balance between clean contemporary design principles, captivating typography and lettering, and a touch of the handmade when appropriate.
My goal is always to uncover the story that needs to be told. This narrative-driven design approach helps in connecting authentically with people and tell a brand's unique story.
Brand identity design
I create visual identities that tell a story and are based on solid concepts. Logos aren't just pretty visuals, they're the beginning of a visual conversation between a brand and its audience.
Typography and lettering
Custom lettering and calligraphy, typeface design, but also researching and selecting the perfect fonts, are possibly my favourite part of the job.
The Handcrafted Touch
When a project calls for it, I'll bring in hand-drawn elements, textures, or illustrations. These details add personality and warmth that purely digital design sometimes misses.
